As of today, newsletter articles can be shared with both friends and business contacts on Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn: With this addition, Inxmail now caters to the most important social networking sites by spanning all systems and target groups to integrate email marketing. This allows email marketers to benefit from a high distribution rate and a high level of attention for their newsletter article, without having to know the email addresses of the contacts, which increase exponentially.
Freiburg, Germany, 20 March 2009. Newsletter articles that were previously only intended for the recipient group of subscribers can be shared on Facebook – and, as of today, also on MySpace and LinkedIn. Inxmail GmbH has extended the “Share in Facebook” add-on to include the social networking sites MySpace and LinkedIn. As a result, the email marketing expert now caters to both B-to-C and B-to-B marketing.
With the “Inxmail Professional Share in Social Networks” upgrade, email marketers can take advantage of the effective multiplier effects for themselves: With just one click, the recipient can publish the article that was sent with Inxmail Professional within the social networking site. In this way, the newsletter article is transformed into a viral message without the sender having to know the email addresses of all recipients. At the same time, the message benefits from a high level of credibility and attention. Anything friends or business contacts approve of has to be interesting. If this is not the case, articles can be commented on individually. The positive effects include the high level of involvement between content and sender, as well as the potential new subscriptions for the newsletter.
The reporting feature is also very valuable, as it provides information on important marketing factors. Who distributed the newsletter article? How often was it “shared" and on which social networking site was it displayed? These questions open entirely new avenues of opportunity and provide greater scope for new campaign ideas in email marketing.
